Learn how the United States secretly built three cities during World War II in order to provide over 125,000 scientists, technicians, and support staff places to work on the Manhattan Project. G. Martin Moeller, Jr., senior curator, explains how these sites were also proving grounds for emerging ideas about architecture, planning, and construction. This program complements the exhibition Secret Cities: The Architecture and Planning of the Manhattan Project, which will be open before the program.
