Call for Applications | Heart Mountain Wyoming and the Japanese American Incarceration NEH Landmarks of American History and Culture Educator Workshops

The Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation is accepting applications starting November 15 from educators to participate in two weeklong in-person workshops sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities. The place-based workshop with a faculty of local and international experts on the history of the forced removal and incarceration of 120,000 Japanese Americans from the West Coast during World War II, Apsalooke history, water and settler politics. Applications are due March 1, 2022. The workshops take place June 19-24 and July 24-29 in Cody/Powell, Wyoming with 36 participants for each week. Travel stipend included. See the website for details.
