This Teagle/NEH workshop will feature Roosevelt Montás, senior lecturer in American Studies at Columbia University and Rene Plessner Lecturer for its Freedom and Citizenship program, discussing his new book, Rescuing Socrates: How the Great Books Changed My Life and Why They Matter for a New Generation (Princeton University Press).
Each workshop in this series will run from 12:30-1:30 p.m. EST. Foundation staff will remain from 1:30-2:00 p.m. EST to answer questions about the Cornerstone: Learning for Living initiative co-sponsored by the Teagle Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities. All workshops are free and open to current grantees and prospective applicants.
