Keith A. Erekson is an assistant professor of history at the University of Texas at El Paso where he directs the department’s history and social studies teacher education program and the university’s Center for History Teaching & Learning. He is the author of Everybody’s History (Univ. of Massachusetts, 2012) and editor of Politics and the History Curriculum (Palgrave Macmillan, 2012). In 2011 the Board of Regents of the University of Texas System awarded him its prestigious Outstanding Teaching Award. He speaks and consults internationally on issues related to public history and history teaching and learning.
