Who We Are
As the umbrella organization for the history profession, the American Historical Association brings together historians and historical institutions across the wide range of fields and areas of employment. Currently, the Association counts over 4,000 subscribing institutions, and more than 14,000 individuals, including college and university faculty, public historians, independent scholars, archivists, librarians, and secondary school teachers.
