July 28, 2016 - AHA members Thomas C. Holt (James Westfall Thompson Distinguished Service Professor of American and African American History, University of Chicago) and Richard White (Margaret Byrne Professor of American History, Stanford University) were elected as members to the American Philosophical Society at the organization's Annual Spring Meeting in Philadelphia.
