AHA Research Grants
The AHA sponsors five grant-in-aid programs that are available to members only. All grants are offered annually and are intended to further research in progress.
AHA Communities
Members can communicate and collaborate with other historians in this online networking platform. AHA Communities includes discussion forums, blogs, a directory, and a library. Members can form their own communities to discuss specific topics or concerns.
AHA Career Center
All jobs posted on the AHA Career Center are accessible freely to the public. AHA institutional members receive a discount on placement of job ads on this enhanced web platform.
Letters of Introduction and Courtesy Requests
The AHA provides letters of introduction and courtesy requests to members. This member benefit assists researchers in gaining access to foreign and domestic research facilities, special collections, and government archives. ACLS Humanities E-Book
For an added fee paid when joining or renewing, AHA members save $15 on electronic access to the ACLS Humanities E-Book, with cross-searchable, full texts of nearly 2,700 high-quality books in history and the humanities from over 90 university presses, sponsored by the American Council of Learned Societies.
American National Biography Online
The American National Biography is a 24 volume biographical encyclopedia set containing approximately 17,400 entries and 20 million words, first published in 1999 by Oxford University Press under the auspices of the American Council of Learned Societies.

JPASS
Members of the American Historical Association are able to purchase a one-year JPASS access plan at a 50% discount on the listed rate. American Political Science Association
For an added fee of $80 paid when joining or renewing, AHA members receive a joint associate membership in the American Political Science Association. APSA associate membership includes online access to the following scholarly journals: American Political Science Review (APSR), Perspectives on Politics, PS: Political Science and Politics (PS), and the Journal of Political Science Education (JPSE). Community College Humanities Association
For an added fee of $35 paid when joining or renewing, AHA members receive a $15 discount off an annual membership in the Community College Humanities Association (CCHA).
