Congratulations to AHA member and AHA Pacific Coast Branch president Peniel Joseph (Univ. of Texas, Austin) who has been selected as the winner of the 2023 RFK Book Award for The Third Reconstruction: America's Struggle for Racial Justice in the Twenty-First Century. This award, given annually by Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, “highlights exemplary work that explores issues of human rights, social justice, and the power of individual action. It is one of the few awards in its field determined by peers.”
