Symposia on Large Scale Research
In 2025, the AHA will co-host a series of three symposia on the possibilities and challenges of large-scale historical research. These symposia will explore the possibilities and challenges of large-scale historical research. The first symposium, "The Future of Research in the Age of AI," will take place on March 27–28, 2025, at the Museum of the Rockies at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT.

The AHA’s Congressional Briefings series seeks to provide Congressional staff members, journalists, and other members of the policy community with the historical context essential to understanding contemporary issues. Changes Across the Land: Nineteenth- and Twentieth-Century United States Environmental History and Policy
The AHA will host a three-week long NEH Institute for Higher Education Faculty on US environmental history and policy from the early 19th century through the 20th century.

Since 2015, the AHA and local partners have held a two-day conference on college-level introductory history courses.
Utah Conference on Introductory History Courses
