The Atlantic | Oct 18, 2020

World War I in Photos shows photographs of the Great War from dozens of collections, some digitized for the first time, to tell the story of the conflict, those caught up in it, and how much it affected the world. The photos are organized into ten series that cover themes such as the western front, technology, animals at war, soldiers and civilians, and global conflict. Each photo has a brief explanation.
