Pox Americana maps the smallpox epidemic that swept North America from 1775 to 1782. Using GIS software for data visualization, Elizabeth Fenn has mapped the location, extent, and contemporary observations of the deadly outbreak. Teachers and students of all levels can derive a deeper understanding of these conditions during the Revolutionary period.
