The Dictionary of Canadian Biography is a staple of Canadian historical research. Available in both English and French, the dictionary allows the user to browse the top 100 searched entries, explore the site by theme, or do a custom search. The “Exploring the Explorers” feature allows teachers to utilize and download 12-page teaching guides on Jacques Cartier and Samuel de Champlain. Generally suitable for grades 5 through 12.
