Miriam Hauss Cunningham received her BA in European history with a minor in German from the University of Kentucky in May 1996 and her MA in European history from the American University in August 1998. She managed marketing and development for the Association, including the Combined Federal Campaign. She also provided support for the administration office and Council, and helped coordinate several special projects for the AHA. She was the senior staff assistant to the Committee on Graduate Education, Committee on the Master’s Degree for History, National History Center Planning Committee, and the Joint OAH-AHA Committee on Part-time and Adjunct Employment. From 2006–11, Miriam served as the assistant director of the National History Center. She is now the owner and operator of the Inn at Antietam in Maryland.
