Leland R. Grigoli is the former editor (2021-2024) of Perspectives on History. As a historian, Leland is interested in identity formation, religious devotion, and state power. He specializes in the societies of the medieval Mediterranean and the modern reception of the middle ages. He is also deeply involved in the digital humanities, especially as they concern digitization efforts in archives and new geospatial approaches. Leland holds an ALB in medieval studies from Harvard University, an MTS in the history of Christianity from Harvard Divinity School, and completed his PhD in history from Brown University in 2021.
