Kate Lang is associate professor and chair of the History Department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where she also directs an online adult degree completion program and provides content supervision for social studies student teachers. She holds a PhD in medieval Islamic history from the University of Chicago. She has been a recipient of National Endowment for the Humanities grants to fund professional development in Global History for K’12 teachers and public programming on immigration to the upper Midwest. Her current research examines Arab-American communities in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
