The 134th annual meeting of the Association was held January 3–6, 2020, in New York. Over 2,000 scholars participated in the four-day meeting. In addition, 50 specialized societies and organizations scheduled sessions and events in partnership with the Association. AHA awards and honors were announced on Friday, January 3, followed by a plenary session. John R. McNeill, Georgetown University, delivered the presidential address on Saturday, January 4.
