All sessions of the 104th AHA annual meeting were held in the San Francisco Hilton and Tower on December 27–30, 1989. In addition to the Hilton, a block of rooms has been reserved at the Weston St. Francis Hotel and the Galleria Park Hotel. AHA President Louis Harlan gave the presidential address, “The Future of the American Historical Association,” at the General Meeting on December 28.
