The 33rd annual meeting was held on December 27–29 at the University of Pennsylvania, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, and the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel in Philadelphia. AHA President Worthington C. Ford (Library of Congress) gave the presidential address, “The Editorial Function in United States History,” at the general session on Thursday, December 27.
