Welcome to the American Historical Association’s new website. Whether you’re a professional historian, a student, or one of the millions of Americans who enjoy learning about the past, our site features resources for all members of our community.
We hope you will enjoy exploring our new site, including:
- The AHA Resource Library with over 1,200 resources. These include resources for classrooms at K–12, undergraduate, and graduate levels; primary sources, including archival documents; professional development guides; the AHA’s standards and guidelines for the discipline; and more.
- AHA Advocacy, allowing users to easily find AHA statements and letters and our action alerts, at both state and federal legislative levels. We encourage historians and our allies to draw on our documents to contact their representatives, and to learn about our Teaching History with Integrity and Freedom to Learn initiatives.
- Academic Department Resources, highlighting the AHA’s work with and events for department chairs.
- Subsites providing access to the AHA’s journal the American Historical Review and newsmagazine Perspectives on History, with information about how to submit to the journal and the magazine.
- The AHA’s Standards and Guidelines for the Discipline
- The AHA Events Calendar and Calls for Opportunities Calendar, with upcoming events of interest to historians.
