Maâti Monjib, historian at the University of Mohammed V, Rabat, has been granted provisional release from prison. In a letter protesting Monjib’s imprisonment, the AHA noted he had been sentenced to one year in prison for charges that appeared to be “baseless, levied more in the interest of a political agenda than honest law enforcement.”
