AHA member Charles King (Georgetown Univ.) was recently awarded the Francis Parkman Prize by the Society of American Historians for his book Gods of the Upper Air: How a Circle of Renegade Anthropologists Reinvented Race, Sex, and Gender in the Twentieth Century. This prize is awarded for literary and scholarly achievement.
