AHA Director of Research and Publications Appointed to Federal FOIA Advisory Committee for 2024–26 Term

AHA director of research and publications Sarah Weicksel was appointed to the Federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Advisory Committee for the 2024–26 term by Colleen Shogan, the Archivist of the United States. The FOIA Advisory Committee was established by the National Archives and Records Administration to “foster dialog between the Administration and the requester community, solicit public comments, and develop consensus recommendations for improving FOIA administration and proactive disclosures.” Weicksel will represent the interests of historians and history-related organizations.
