Our colleagues at the American Association for State and Local History have initiated a campaign to urge Congress to fund activities relating to the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. I appreciate the hard work that AASLH has put into this effort and encourage AHA members to contact their representatives in Congress to support funding for appropriate activities relating to this important anniversary. The AHA is especially interested in the possibility of a wide range of programs being initiated as part of the 250th.
Please write to your members of Congress today. AASLH has developed useful instructions, resources, and email templates that you can use to contact your congressional representatives.
