The Florida Conference of Historians (FCH) invites proposals for its 2022 annual meeting to be held on Saint Leo University's main campus.  Faculty, independent scholars, graduate students, and undergraduates are all welcome.  The organization's name reflects the geographic location of its annual meeting and does not reflect any limitation on subject matter.  Organizers are accepting proposals on any and all areas of historical inquiry in the following categories:

 

  • Individual papers
  • Panels
  • Posters
  • Media and Film


Important Deadlines:
Proposals are due by
December 4, 2021
Hotel registration due by January 7, 2022
Advance registration deadline is February 18, 2022


Those who present individual papers at the virtual annual meeting may submit their work to the FCH Annals: Journal of the Florida Conference of Historians, the organization's peer-reviewed journal.  Papers published in the journal are eligible to compete for prizes in several categories: the Thomas M. Campbell Award ($250 for the best Professional level paper, including faculty and independent scholars), the Blaine T. Blaine Browne Award ($150 for the best Graduate Student level paper), the J. Calvitt Clarke III Award ($100 for the best Undergraduate Student level), and the Douglas Astolfi Award ($50 for the best Poster).
