Event Description
The XIII SWS International Scientific Conference on Social Sciences (ISCSS) and XIII SWS International Scientific Conference on Arts and Humanities (ISCAH) take place together on 25–30 August 2027 in Albena, Bulgaria. This single joint announcement covers both conferences.
The broad multidisciplinary programme includes history, philosophy, cultural heritage, cultural identity and memory, literature and linguistics, visual and performing arts, architecture and design, education, governance and social change. Historians can consult the official topics and submission instructions for the relevant sections.
Abstract deadline: 3 August 2027. Full papers and workshop proposals: 17 August 2027. The working language is English. Manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by two or three independent reviewers; acceptance is not guaranteed. Paid on-site and virtual participation options are available; current fees are published on the official website.
Preliminary programme: registration on 25 August; scientific sessions on 26–29 August; a conditional post-conference field trip on 30 August. Programme details are subject to confirmation.
