The Africa in World History Teacher Institute is a virtual program with synchronous and asynchronous elements. Synchronous elements will take place through online Zoom sessions. As part of this institute, teachers will hear from scholars as well as participate in activities and discussion with their cohort. For this reason, participants must have a working webcam and microphone in order to fully participate. To review system and bandwidth requirements for Zoom, please see Zoom’s support page.
To make Zoom more accessible to participants, each session will have captions enabled and chatroom capabilities where AHA support staff can help troubleshoot connectivity.
