The AHA will hold its annual Career Fair on January 6, 2024, from 12:30-3 p.m. The Career Fair introduces graduate students and early-career historians to history PhDs working in a wide variety of careers. Advisers from a wide variety of fields will be available for informal conversations and informational interviews about their careers and their experiences. Past Career Fair advisers have come from business, academic administration, universities, independent schools, community colleges, historical societies, government, publishing, and other fields.
Talk to a Career Fair adviser to learn more about:
- The many career options available to historians
- Pathways from graduate school to employment
- Articulating the value of historical thinking to employers
- Finding jobs within and beyond the academy
All annual meeting attendees are encouraged to attend. E-mail Rachel Wheatley, Program Assistant for Academic and Professional Affairs, or Rebecca West, Operations Assistant, with any questions.
