Statement of Purpose: To promote study and broad understanding of the history of the US government. To achieve this goal, the society brings together historians, archivists, curators, librarians, editors, preservationists, and others interested in governmental history. Members include federal employees, contractors, university faculty and students, independent consultants, and interested citizens.
