William Storey

William StoreyWilliam K. Storey is professor and chair of history at Millsaps College, a private residential college in Jackson, Mississippi. Storey is working with historian colleagues on designing and implementing a new program of departmental assessment that includes a new internship program. Storey teaches about southern African history, world history, and the history of the British Empire. He also supervises the research and writing projects of senior history majors. He is the author of two monographs: Guns, Race, and Power in Colonial South Africa (Cambridge Univ. Press, 2008) and Science and Power in Colonial Mauritius (Univ. of Rochester Press, 1997). Storey is also the author of two books for undergraduates: The First World War: A Concise Global History (Rowman & Littlefield, 2009) and Writing History: A Guide for Students, 4th ed. (Oxford Univ. Press, 2011).
