Becky West is the marketing coordinator for the AHA. She works on the AHA’s marketing initiatives, news and advocacy updates, communications to membership, and office management. She also administers the AHA’s prizes and awards committees and internship program, and assists with various other projects and events throughout the year. Becky has interned at the Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society, the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media, and the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage. She graduated from George Mason University with a degree in cultural studies and is currently enrolled in the History MA program there, where she is a member of the Phi Alpha Theta and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies and is writing about public perceptions of racial violence in early 20th-century Virginia.
