Marian Barber served as the associate director of the National History Center from 2011–14. She was also director of the Catholic Archives of Texas from 2014–18. Barber received her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010 with the dissertation, “How the Irish, Germans, and Czechs Became Anglo: Race and Identity in the Texas-Mexico Borderlands.”
