Joe Gardella served as AHA meetings and executive assistant from 2017–18. He graduated in December 2016 with a degree in history from the University at Buffalo. Joe worked as a curatorial intern at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, where he assisted the Slavery and Freedom exhibition team. Meetings and executive assistant is a brand-new position. Joe worked closely with our meetings coordinator, executive director, and Council members to assist with planning the annual meeting and arranging logistics for other AHA activities.
