AHA Member Interviewed on CNN About Trump’s Review of Smithsonian Museums

AHA member David Blight (Yale Univ.) was interviewed by Eleni Giokos on CNN about the sweeping review of the Smithsonian ordered by President Trump to “ensure alignment” with the administration’s goals. These actions are “not only unprecedented, [but] an attempt by the executive branch, by the White House and their many allies, to control the American past,” Blight said. “They want to try to roll back about 60–70 years of historical scholarship. . . . They call it ‘wokeness.’ We call it good history.”
