In an article in the Christian Science Monitor, AHA executive director Sarah Weicksel defended the Smithsonian Institution in the face of interference by the Trump administration, affirming the value of nuance in museum exhibits. “A museum is never intended to produce a single definitive story,” Weicksel says. It is “an entry point for visitors to learn, to question, and to continue to explore once they leave that museum.”
