Zeidler Academic Awards

The Wisconsin Labor History Society (WLHS) is pleased to announce the eighteenth annual Frank Zeidler Academic Awards for original research papers about Wisconsin labor and working-class history.  Two awards are available annually--one for work by an undergraduate student and one for work by a graduate student.

The awards honor former Milwaukee mayor Frank Zeidler (in office 1948-1960) for his lifelong efforts toward the advancement of Wisconsin's citizens.

Any research relating to the lives, culture, and organi zing activities of Wisconsin working people will be carefully considered.  Submissions must be postmarked no later than January 6, 2020.  We will accept entries by authors directly or by faculty nominations.  Content from theses or dissertations must be appropriately adapted to article form.  Writing guidelines are posted on the WLHS website.
