Purpose: To plan the program for the AHA annual meetings.

Membership: 16 members. The Program Committee includes the chair, the co-chair, the chair-elect, the co-chair-elect, and 12 other members. Two local liaisons work with the committee to plan content related to the meeting location. The chairs and co-chairs are recommended by the president who will deliver his or her presidential address at that annual meeting; remaining members of the committee and the local liaisons are recommended by the chair and co-chair, in consultation with the president-elect and approved by Council.
