Event Description
Dr. Michael Burlingame is the author of the two-volume set Abraham Lincoln: A Life, which is now considered to be the definitive biography of our 16th President. In writing this book, Dr. Burlingame changed our understanding of what a great biography is. His fellow historians agree that Burlingame knows more about the life of Lincoln than any other person now living. Dr. Burlingame will be interviewed by Librarian Richard Levinson, who produces and hosts the Free Library’s podcast for smart older adults. Levinson has previously interviewed the Chief Theater Critic for The New York Times Jesse Green, Susan Zirinsky, the first woman to be President of CBS News and Mark Thundercloud, a retired FBI Hostage Negotiator.
