Please join us for a special presentation of the New York Military Affairs Symposium (NYMAS) in collaboration with Fordham University, in celebration of the gift by Al Nofi, UGE ’65, GSAS ’67, to the Department of History.
Since its founding, Fordham has been a proud supporter of the U.S. military and our veterans, recently earning distinctions as one of the best universities for veterans both locally and nationally.
David Hamlin, professor of history, will present a lecture on “The German Occupation of Eastern Europe, 1914–1918.”
Hamlin is the author of The German Empire in the East: Germans and Romania in an Era of Globalization and Total War (Cambridge University Press, 2017).
This program will be offered both in person and via Zoom. Please indicate your attendance preference when registering.
The New York Military Affairs Symposium is an independent, nonprofit educational body devoted to increasing public knowledge, awareness, and understanding of military history, arms control, international relations, defense policy, disarmament, civil-military relations, international security, veterans affairs, and the interrelationship of war, society, and culture through diverse scholarly viewpoints.
