Guy Stanton Ford (May 9, 1873–December 29, 1962) received is PhD from Columbia in 1903 and taught at Yale (1901–06), University of Illinois (1906–13), and the University of Minnesota (1913–41). He was the author of Stein and the Era of Reform in Prussia, 1807–15 (1922). After his presidency, he went on to serve as executive secretary of the American Historical Association and editor of the American Historical Review from 1941–53.
