Established: 1994. Affiliate since January 1999. Membership: 250. Annual dues: $15 students; $30 regular membership.

Statement of Purpose: FEEGI was founded to bring together scholars from a variety of disciplines interested in the places and people touched directly and indirectly, benignly or catastrophically, by the process of enhanced global interaction that commenced in the fourteenth century.

Annual Meeting: Spring of even-numbered years; in odd-numbered years FEEGI sponsors a session at the AHA annual meeting

Publication: FEEGI has a relationship with the journal Itinerario, which is based in Leiden, The Netherlands.
