Forest History Society
Established: 1946. Membership: 2,000 Annual dues: $28 student; $60 basic individual member; $250 corporate; $140 libraries and institutions.
Statement of Purpose: To bring forest and conservation history to bear on current issues in order to affect the future and improve human welfare. To identify, collect, preserve, interpret and disseminate materials reflective of North American forest and conservation within a global context and to advance research, writing, and appreciation of this history. Affiliated with Duke University.
