New Officers for ASLH

The American Society for Legal History appointed the following officers for 1992: R.H. Helmholz, President (University of Chicago Law School); Harold M. Hyman, Vice President (Rice University); and Michael de L. Landon, Secretary-Treasurer (University of Mississippi). The 1992 annual meeting of the ASLH will be held in New Haven, Connecticut, October 29–31.

AAH Re-Elects Secretary-Treasurer

The Association of Ancient Historians have re-elected incumbent secretary-treasurer Jack Cargill, Rutgers University, to a second three-year term, to expire in 1994. Future annual meetings will be hosted by Loyola University of Chicago (May 21–23, 1992), the University of Calgary (1993), and Wright State University (1994).

AJHS Appoints New Director, Celebrates 100th Anniversary

Michael Feldberg, Brandeis University, has been appointed Executive Director of the American Jewish Historical Society. The Society recently celebrated its one hundredth anniversary at a National Conference in Washington, DC. The theme of the conference was "Presence and Prominence: A Century of American Jewish History." The meeting also included a panel on the forthcoming five-volume series, History of the Jews in America.

HSS Seeks New Executive Secretary

The History of Science Society seeks applications from members interested in serving as Executive Secretary for a five-year term commencing in 1993.
