Watch this space on Monday for news about the December issue of Perspectives on History, soon to be in the mail and online. We are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the newsmagazine with a series of articles on the future of the discipline from some of our most esteemed colleagues.

Celebrate the anniversary with us in person at the AHA exhibit booth (#s 201 and 300, in the Grand Ballroom of the New Orleans Marriott) at the 127th annual meeting in New Orleans on Saturday afternoon between 1:30 and 3 p.m. We will have copies of the 50th anniversary issue, visits by Perspectives authors, refreshments, and a chance to meet the editors.

Along with this celebratory retrospective on 50 years of Perspectives, we will also be bidding farewell to editor Pillarisetti Sudhir. After 16 years of benefiting from his steady editorial hand and expansive vision, the AHA will be wishing Sudhir well on his retirement, and we hope you’ll join us.
