Course Correction
Historians gather evidence from periods of social, cultural, and political ferment to understand how change happened in the past. In this issue, David Pace and Andrew K. Koch, both experts on teaching and learning, assess where our discipline stands in these areas and where it could go. Pace and Koch believe that rigorous, meaningful history education should be available to all students but question its current direction.
