Grant of the Week: Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History Fellowships

Karen Lou | Jul 20, 2020

Every week, Perspectives Daily showcases a new grant, fellowship, or scholarship that has been posted to our free community calendar. This week we are featuring the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History Fellowships.

Criteria

The Gilder Lehrman Institute provides annual short-term research fellowships to doctoral candidates, college and university faculty at every rank, and independent scholars working in the field of American history. International scholars are eligible to apply. Since 1994, the Gilder Lehrman Institute has awarded a total of 663 fellowships. The fellowships support research at archives in New York City. Fellows will have two years in which to complete the terms of the award.

This year, three of the ten awards will be granted with special attention to Cold War topics, so preference will be given to applicants in that field.

Amount

Fellows will be awarded $3000.

End: July 31, 2020
