AHA Announces New Staff Member

Amanda MonizAs the AHA’s programs and initiatives continue to expand, we are thrilled to announce that Amanda Moniz has recently become the Association’s program coordinator. In this new position, Moniz manages special programs, staffs the Committee on International Historical Activities, and coordinates between the AHA and its National History Center, where she has served as assistant director since March 2014. Amanda holds an AB in history from Brown University and a PhD in early American history from the University of Michigan. Her book From Empire to Humanity: The American Revolution and the Origins of Humanitarianism is forthcoming from Oxford University Press. A former pastry chef, Amanda also pursues public history projects in food history.
