Grant of the Week: John Phillip Reid Book Award in Legal History

The John Phillip Reid Book Award, from the American Society for Legal History, is an annual award for the best book published in English in any of the fields broadly defined as Anglo-American legal history.  The Reid Prize for 2008 was awarded to Christian W. McMillen for his book Making Indian Law: The Hualapai Land Case and the Birth of Ethnohistory.  For the 2009 prize, the committee will accept nominations from authors, presses, or anyone else of any book with a publication date of 2008.  Nominations should be submitted by May 29, 2009.
