The September issue of Perspectives will soon arrive in AHA members’ mailboxes. This is a very big deal for Perspectives, as it’s not every day that it gets a head-to-toe makeover. It’s eager to show off its new redesign to historians the world over.
With that in mind, we’re asking members who are on Twitter to tweet pictures of Perspectives looking special. These can include historian selfies, but they might also be still life compositions with Perspectives or Perspectives doing fun things along with the photographer. Use the hashtag #AHAPerspectives so we’ll notice you. We might even print your picture of Perspectives in a future issue!
To provide some inspiration, here’s what the AHA publications department did with the September issue of Perspectives when it arrived for its first day of work:
AHA staff members welcome Perspectives back after summer hiatus. It’s a transformation straight out of the end of Grease.
We see you checking your phone in the publications department meeting, Perspectives. That is simply not done at the AHA.
Like everyone else, Perspectives goes to the candy dispenser after the publications meeting. You learn fast, print friend! That afternoon sugar hits the spot.
Get back to work, Perspectives. Coffee break is over!
First day’s in the books. Time for Perspectives to head home on the DC Metro. See you tomorrow!
