Historians TV once again made their way to the annual meeting this year, to conduct video interviews, explore the exhibit hall and job center, and showcase sponsored videos for nearly a dozen universities.

  Tom Bender of New York University and Sean Condon of Merrimack College, who were part of session 75, discuss the financial squeeze impacting universities.
• Academic Job Market
  Robert Townsend, the AHA’s Assistant Director of Research and Publications, and Jacqueline Jones from the University of Texas at Austin took part in session 115, and spoke on recruiting and being recruited in the current market.
• The Challenge of Religion in History
  Carlos Eire of Yale University and Susannah Heschel from Dartmouth College speak on religion in history.
• Culturomics – Using Google to track word trends in literature
  Erez Lieberman Aiden and Jean-Baptiste Michel’s session, “Quantitative Analysis of Culture Using Millions of Digitized Books ,“ added at the last minute, focused on the Google Books Ngram Viewer
