Grant of the Week: The William and Madeline Welder Smith Research Travel Award

The Dolph Briscoe Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin announces the 2013–2014 William and Madeline Welder Smith Research Travel Award. Five fellowships of up to $1,000.00 each will be given, and the aid may be used any time from September 1, 2013 to August 31, 2014.

Through the Smith Travel Award, the Briscoe Center for American History will assist masters, doctoral, and post-doctoral students with costs associated with travel to Austin, Texas. The award is intended for students who need to conduct in-depth research in the holdings of the Briscoe Center and who reside outside of the Austin metropolitan area.
